Residency Licensure Programs
EDUCATOR PREPARATION PROGRAM
Western Piedmont Community College is an approved Educator Preparation Program (EPP). An EPP is an institution that prepares, trains, and recommends students for teacher licensure.
Take Courses Online
The Elementary Education Residency Licensure certificate is 18 semester hours and will be offered online. The new program will provide classes needed to become certified to teach by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
REQUIREMENTS
- Be employed or offered employment with a local educational agency
- Hold a bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 2.7 or higher
